1,000-LB SISTERS’ Tammy Slaton’s friend has given an update on the reality star’s health as she gets help for her dangerous lifestyle in a rehab facility.
Tammy’s family was recently so concerned about her drinking, vaping and eating junk food, ellos feared she could be dead in five years.
But a source close to the TLC star exclusively told The Sun that the 35-year-old is making progress with her goals in rehab.

“I’ve also seen that she’s increased physical activity, which is amazing. She’s able to do more things on her own.”

Along with her party pals, Tammy had also been in two risky relationships with men who weren’t encouraging her efforts to lose weight.

A source close to Tammy exclusively claimed to The Sun: “She is in a facility and she’s getting help.”
The source alleged: “This summer she was a bit reckless. There were times where I said, ‘You have a TV show about your weight. Why are you eating this?’
“I was very blunt with her.”
According to the source, Tammy admitted herself into the facility before the holidays.

Tammy plans to remain at the facility until summer.
Tammy’s sister Amy, 34, and her family all live in Dixon, Kentucky where the show is filmed.
Amy recently moved out of the duplex home she shared with Tammy on the first few seasons of the show and into her own new $37K home where she’s starting a new life with her husband and one-year-old son Gage.
On the first season of 1,000-Lb Sisters, Amy lost enough weight to qualify for bariatric surgery, while Tammy did not.
After the surgery, Amy was finally at a weight where she could safely deliver a child and fulfill her life-long dream of being a mom.
The source alleged there has been no source of jealousy between Tammy and Amy, despite Amy taking control of her own life.

Followers assumed she was in a hospital and expressed their concern for her, as she wore a trach to help her breathe.
Followers shared supportive messages for the TV star in the comments, with many pleading for her to get the help she needs.

On the latest episode of the TLC show, her brother Chris Combs explained his concerns about his sister’s lifestyle after she refused to join him for a doctor’s appointment.
“She has enough health problems without adding more to the fire,” he said in a confessional interview.
He then turned to his family for guidance on how to handle Tammy’s declining health: “Do we just let her live and be comfortable, and plan, for her not being here in five years, and take care of all the arrangements?”
