FOOTBALL legend Tony Adams is the latest name confirmed for Strictly Come Dancing.
He said: “To say I’m excited is an understatement – the lure of the sequins and the call of the salsa has me swapping my battered old football boots for a set of Strictly soft shoes.
“Am absolutely thrilled to be giving it my all on this year’s 20th anniversary of Strictly Come Dancing.
“I can’t wait to meet my partner – god help her – and start the dancing.”
Tony spent his entire footballing career – 19 years- playing for Arsenal, as well as for England.
He was known for his no-nonsense approach to defending — but not so much for his elegance.
He went on to be a successful manager, looking after Wycombe and Portsmouth to name a couple.
Tony – who overcame a battle with booze – is currently married to second wife Poppy Teacher – a whisky heiress, seven years his junior.
He has five children – Atticus, Hector and Iris with Poppy and Oliver and Amber from his first marriage to Jane Shea.
Today The Sun told how Helen Skelton is joining the competition following her marriage break down.
