AUSTRALIAN cricket legend Andrew Symonds has tragically died after a car accident near Townsville, كوينزلاند.
According to Queensland Police, the accident was a single-car crash at around 11pm local time on Saturday night.
قراءة بيان للشرطة: “Early information indicates, shortly after 11pm the car was being driven on Hervey Range Road, near Alice River Bridge when it left the roadway and rolled.
“Emergency services attempted to revive the 46-year-old driver and sole occupant, ومع ذلك, he died of his injuries.
“The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.”
Symonds was said to be driving near the Alice River Bridge, around 50kms from Townsville, when his car left the road and rolled.

Paramedics at the scene could not revive the fans’ favourite and he died from his injuries.
Symonds. affectionately known as ‘Roy’, played 26 Tests for أستراليا ما بين 2004 و 2008 إلى جانب 198 ODIs from 1999 ل 2009.
He won two World Cups as well as playing county cricket in England for Gloucestershire, كينت, Lancashire and Surrey.
The all-rounder also played domestic credit for Queensland – التهديف 5,000 runs and taken 100 wickets – and in the Indian Premier League for the Deccan Chargers and Mumbai Indians.
