ビッグブラザーのボスは、ショーがカムバックするときに人気のある機能が戻ってくることを明らかにします

IT helped make household names out of Dermot O’leary, Emma Willis and Russell Brand – and now Big Brother’s spin-off show may be the chance for another upstart to get noticed.

I’m told that ITV is planning to bring back the series, formerly known as Bit On The Side, Big Mouth and Big Brother’s Little Brother.

Channel bosses are keen on reviving the sister show, which was often more entertaining than the main series itself due to the complete chaos that normally ensued.

情報筋によると: “ITV knows that it’s not just the main show that gets fans talking, and the spin-off for has always been a favourite for viewers.

“It’s been the spring- board for some huge careers over the years, and its irreverent content and style makes for great telly.

“It’s early days but with the comeback of the main show, all things look positive for Big Brother’s sister to return too. What it will be called remains to be seen, but expect carnage.”

The first version of the show, Big Brother’s Little Brother, was hosted by an extremely youthful Dermot and Natalie Casey and accompanied the second series of the original Big Brother in 2002.

Dermot, later the host of Xファクター, left in 2008 and was followed by George Lamb とエマ.

Big Brother’s Big Mouth — probably the most outrageous of the spin-offs — was hosted by ラッセル for a few years. また, ジェームズ・コーデン, ジャックホワイトホール and BB’s original lead host ダヴィーナ・マッコール all stepped in at various points too.

And then finally Big Brother’s Bit On The Side was fronted by Alice Levine, Jamie East, エマ (再び) and then Rylan Clark.

Big Brother returns next year after being axed in 2018, having graced our screens since 2000

It’s a tough job for the person deciding who will host the new ITV version of the spin-off.

There can’t be that many who’ve not already done it . . .

CAT SPARKLES

CAT DEELEY shows she still looks as fab as her SMTV Live days two decades ago.

The presenter glammed up in a multi-coloured minidress for the final of her US show So You Think You Can Dance.

The mum of two has been hosting the dance competition – for which she’s been Emmy-nominated five times – since 2006.

But recently she has also made a return to British entertainment, with an SMTV one-off special and providing cover on ITV’s ロレイン とラジオ 2.

THE actress, writer and director Diane Morgan will receive this year’s Edinburgh TV Festival Outstanding Achievement Award.

The honour is being given for Diane’s body of work that spans more than 20 years and includes Motherland, アフターライフ, Inside No9 and her own comedy Mandy.

TAM IN TOWER

TAMZIN OUTHWAITE is set to join gritty police drama The Tower for its second series.

The ex-EastEnder will play Cathy Teel, alongside fellow new cast members Niamh Cusack (Heartbeat) and Ella Smith (The Nevers) in the ITV adaptation of Kate London’s novels.

Screenwriter Patrick Harbinson said: “It’s a tribute to the quality of Kate’s novels and her complex female characters that we have been able to attract these brilliant actresses.”

Tamzin has come a long way since playing Ian Bealeの妻.

GRANTCHESTER will be back for an eighth series – and star Robson Green has declared ITV’s Fifties detective show gets “even better with age”.

With filming under way now, 彼は言った: “This incredibly charming, likeable, dark and edgy show is an absolute privilege to be part of.”
