A TEEN has been charged with murder after a performer hired to do stunts in a music video was stabbed to death outside a Tube station.
Shane Jerome, 23, was knifed to death outside Brixton station in south London as horrified onlookers watched on – and Brandon Aldon McNeil, 18, has now been charged.
The 18-year-old is charged with murder, 殺人未遂, and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.
McNeil will appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.
Met Police said a 17-year-old boy arrested on Thursday has been bailed to return on a date in late August.
Paramedics rushed to the scene just after 8pm last Wednesday (7月 21) and found Shane suffering from a single stab wound to his chest.
A music video was being filmed close to the scene of the attack featuring Lamborghini sports cars, people in balaclavas and a quad bike.
Medics and members of the public tried to save Shane as London’s Air Ambulance landed nearby and despite their efforts he was pronounced dead at the scene around 25 数分後.
The two teens, 18 そして 17, were arrested and were being held in custody at a police station in south London.
A 19-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, but has since been released with no further action being taken by police.
Detective Chief Inspector Kate Blackburn, leading the investigation, 前記: “It has been just over a week since Shane tragically lost his life.
“These arrests mark significant progress with our investigation and I hope it brings some reassurance to both Shane’s family and the wider community that my team are working around the clock to bring justice for his murder.
“I continue to urge anyone who was in the area and who may have seen anything, or have footage on their phone or dash cam, to please contact us.
“I am asking anyone with any information to call police.”
Tributes flooded in online after Shane’s death, including a picture of the scaffolder posing on a blue motorbike.
His heartbroken girlfriend Seleka Gathercole paid tribute online, 書き込み: “My heart’s completely torn in two I will never ever ever get over the loss of you – you mean more to me then I could ever explain.”
