Robert actually appeared in Corrie back in 2011 police officer Douglas.

He was also in BBC medical drama Holby City, playing Dominic Wooten in 2002 and Heartbeat playing Joe Stanwyck.

Robert appeared in a soap spin-off with EastEndersRicky and Bianca in 2002.

Before that he was in The Bill, The Wild Life, Where the Heart Is, The Basil Brush Show and was the voice of the Quizmaster for ITV’s 24 Hour Quiz.

Recent scenes saw Sean get upset when Laurence didn’t ask him out.

So Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger) came up with a plan where Sean should pretend to be a patient at Laurence’s dental surgery and she made an appointment for him.

After Sean’s string of failed relationships, will his luck finally change with Laurence?

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday on ITV at 8pm.
