CORONATION Street star Sam Aston has revealed his daughter’s name is Daisy one month after her birth.

Sam’s wife Briony gave birth to their second bundle of joy last month and the parents revealed they’d been keen on the name since finding out her gender.

“We’ve always liked it,” the Chesney Brown told OK.

“It was one of the only names we both agreed on.”

Briony added: “Once we knew we were having a girl, we kept going back to it, so then halfway through the pregnancy we were like, ‘Daisy it is!’ and I bought all the personalised stuff.”

The couple also decided to add a personal touch to their daughter’s name.

“She’s Daisy Josephine. Josephine is a nod to Sam’s brother Joe and my grandad Joe,” said Briony.

“Daisy is also the French name for Marguerite and my mum’s mum is called Margaret, so it was a way to have both grandparents in there.”

Briony revealed she was still on a ‘high’ and felt ‘euphoric’ nach der Geburt.

“It was exactly what I wanted. I would do that every day of my life if I could,” Sie sagte.

“Usually, a few days after giving birth your hormones level out and you start feeling the baby blues, but this time I still feel like I’m on a high.”

Sam also shared what the labour was like: “We’re very lucky. It all happened so fast.

“We’d just had some tea and then I put the TV on to watch some football, but then all of a sudden I heard Briony upstairs.”

Soap actor Sam, 28, revealed in October that his other half was expecting their second child.

“We booked an early gender reveal 4D scan at a place called Instascan 4D Baby in Padiham.

“There are twins in Briony’s family, so when we went in I was a bit nervous and said, ‘There’s definitely only one in there, richtig?’ Er sagte, ‘There’s only one!’ and then told us it was a girl!”

Sam and Briony welcomed son Sonny six weeks early in August 2020.

The couple got married in 2019, two years after announcing their engagement.

They exchanged their vows – and did a yoga-themed first dance – in front of friends, family members and his soap co-stars at Stock Farm in Cheshire.

Sam is best known for portraying Chesney Brown on Krönungsstraße schon seit 2003.
