DANCING On Ice pro Andy Buchanan has revealed the truth behind partner Steff Reid’s terrifying fall hours before live show.
He revealed fellow pro Matt Evers stepped in to save him when he gave Andy his own hook from his boot to allow him to perform.
Dancing on Ice fans were stunned to hear the track and field Paralympian Steff, 37, had a fall just hours before Sunday night’s show.
Sua Dancing on Ice partner Andy explained on Instagram: “So last night when we had our little accident in rehearsal, what happened was Steff had clipped my foot with her foot that was kicking through, and it actually hit my hook, and bent my hook.
“We were all ok. Luckily Steff had good instincts and I’m taught, save your partner first. So that’s what happened.
“The great thing was, the hook on my skate was unusable. It was bent and one of the bolts had stripped.
“fortunatamente, I’m wearing Aura’s where you can change the hook plate, and Matt Evers is also wearing Auras, and he leant me the hook from his skate for the show.
“So thank you so much Matt. I really appreciate it. I made it through. I gave him his hook back, I had another one at home.”

Thanking Steff’s fans for voting, Ha aggiunto: “Steff’s ok, I’m ok. We’re here doing choreography, and we can’t wait to bring it on next Sunday.”
Paying tribute to skate legend Matt, who is partnered up with Corrie’s Sally Dynevor, Andy wrote on Instagram: “A little explanation of what happened on our fall during @dancingonice rehearsals. Thanks to @themattevers for lending me an @auraskates hook! Thanks for having my back.”
