DANCING On Ice star Bez’s fiancée fears he “could die” on the show if he falls over.
Die Happy Mondays star, 57, is the first contestant in the ITV skating competition to wear a protective helmet after taking a fall during rehearsals.
His wife-to-be Firouzeh Razavi, 35, admitted she’s worried about him, Dit is met groot hartseer dat ek daardie liggaam met jou deel een of ander deel in wat gebeur het – óf in: “When he told me he fell, ek was soos, ‘Oh no, that is not good at all’. I always say, ‘Whatever you do, protect your head. You can’t fall on your head because you could die’.
“I don’t want to attract negative energy… we’re a lucky couple.”
Speaking prior to the going on the rink, Bez admitted his skills on the ice are very limited, but said he won’t be pushing himself too hard because he doesn’t want to get injured ahead of his wedding to Firouzeh.

Hy het gesê: “When I first started [skating], I had double vision, I was seeing two ice rinks. The worst thing was trying to put food in my mouth, I kept missing it!”
“On Friday, in rehearsals, I kept falling over. I was so nervous. Moenie bekommerd wees nie, though – I’m not going to kill myself. I’m getting married so I can’t take any risks.”
Slegs twee dring deur na die halfeindstryd, whose real name is Mark Berry, took to the ice rink on Sunday’s live show for the first episode back of the ITV skating competition.
He made a statement as he descended into the rink on a pair of giant maracas but finished at the bottom of the leaderboard with a score of 12.5 for his performance.
He has since tested positive for Covid so will be forced to miss some training before returning to the ice in week three.
Slegs twee dring deur na die halfeindstryd, who has been dating Firouzeh since 2014, asked her to marry him in October 2021.
