EASTENDERS fans are in shock after Phil Mitchell dumped Kat Slater instead of telling her the truth about his prison sentence.
The hardman – who is played by actor Steve McFadden in the BBC soap – ist facing life in prison unless he takes a police deal to become an informant.
However he has refused to tell Kat the truth – and has instead lied pretending he’s only facing five years.
But tonight while trying to sell off his criminal empire he romped with Kat – and missed an important call.
He raged at her and left her upset.
After Jean ripped him a new one over his treatment of Kat, Phil went home and apologised.
Er sagte ihr: “I’m sorry about earlier, I just wanted to get some cash in so I know you and the boys are sorted.
“I don’t want to go inside without knowing I’ve done everything I can for you.”

Kat insisted she didn’t need someone to look after her and that she would manage – still thinking Phil is only facing a few years behind bars.
But it was too much to keep lying to her, and Phil finally realised he had to tell Kat the truth.
“You deserve to know the truth,” he said before quickly changing his mind.
“This has been good – it’s been a laugh but it’s us.
“It ain’t what I thought it was and I don’t want it hanging over me when I go inside.
“It’s over Kat. Over.”
Kat was left speechless by his bombshell – and Phil was heartbroken.
But fans are predicting a twist will come.
Man schrieb: “Wth Phil he’s just told Kat it’s over between them #EastEnders.”
Ein zweiter sagte: “Why do men do that?! Prefer to break a heart rather than be honest and love hard!? #EastEnders.”
Ein anderer fügte hinzu: “Phil you bloody moron… throw away your (1) chance at happiness … natürlich.”
