DETERMINED to do whatever she can to help her mother amid her manic episode, Stacey Slater made a shock decision.

But as things come to a head in her home next week in EastEnders, she’s forced to take action once again for her daughter’s sake.

Realising how urgently she needed help, Stacey made the decision to have her sectioned.

Matters are only made worse when Jean returns home from the hospital, refusing any help from anybody apart from the youngster.

Coming up, Lily asks to skip school to take care of Jean but her mother Stacey categorically refuses.

She eventually backtracks and apprehensively agrees when she sees how much Jean needs Lily.

Kat (Jessie Wallace) clocks on to what’s happening and grows concerned when Lily stays off school again to look after Jean.

The owner of Kat’s Cabs confronts Stacey by telling her Lily can’t keep missing out on school and suggesting the eleven-year-old spends some time with Martin Fowler for a few days.

But while she’s with Martin, Jean refuses any care from Stacey.

Once Lily returns from Martin’s, the cycle begins again, forcing Stacey to put her foot down and make a decision – Lily will not be caring for Jean anymore.

Little do they know that help could be on the way.

The couple were even planning to leave Walford and move to Southend together.

Shirley encourages the cabbie to go see Jean but will he go for it?
