DURING his ongoing feud with Al Chapman, Cain Dingle has been too distracted to see Ellis and Belle getting closer.
After returning to the Dales from Dubai – where he visited his mother Jessie Grant – Ellis Chapman has had his sights on Priya Sharma.
Both characters have been keeping their blossoming connection a secret, amid their families feuding over the fate of The Woolpack.
A conflict during which Belle and Ellis soon became collateral damage.

Unaware of their bond, Cain (Jeff Hordley) has been embroiled in a more personal feud with Michael Wildman’s Al Chapman.
But when Ellis and Belle show off their connection as they attend the auction together, Cain loses his temper.
The hot-headed Dingle is fighting to become the new owner of The Woolpack, which was put up for auction after being set ablaze.
Outbid by a mysterious buyer, Cain expresses more of his anger at Belle and Ellis’ secret romance.
HIs rival Al has a different reaction.
While Cain expresses rage, refusing to see his young sister Belle get involved with Ellis, Al offers his support and invites the couple to share a meal with him and his partner Kerry (Laura Norton).

Later, there’s trouble looming in paradise as Ellis receives an unexpected phone call which could push him to pack up and leave the eponymous village.
Ellis’ exit from Emmerdale has been teased by production.
This would be his second departure from the ITV programme, as mentioned above.
Emmerdale bosses have also teased a new arrival in the village, just in time to celebrate the show’s 50th anniversary in October, 2022.
This has led fans to speculate that Belle could be pregnant.
But will Cain ever wrap his head around Belle’s rekindled relationship with Ellis?
And is Ellis really set on leaving the village?
Emmerdale airs on weeknights on ITV at 7pm with an extra episode on Thursdays at 8pm, although the schedule is set to change during the course of 2022.
