ESCAPE to the Chateau’s Dick and Angel have revealed their stunning outdoor kitchen after their home renovations.
The ninth series of the hit show – which will be the last ever – continued last night.
During the episode, the TV couple took on their latest project at the stunning mansion.
It saw them restore a folly that was hidden by ivy in their garden.
But the work didn’t stop there, as the couple created a new outdoor entertaining area, with a kitchen and covered wooden pergola.
The pair shared their new summer kitchen that they built within the chateau’s walled garden.
Angel’s visions of having an outdoor kitchen and pergola with a roof came true.
Dick said: “As well as having the shaded area, we want somewhere to sit and enjoy the bright summer.”
This is why the couple chose a pergola with a perspex roof on top to enable them to have a table and chairs for dining.
Other renovations included laying and grouting the paving stones and Dick made a wooden shelf and reused the spare oak to hold pots and pans in the kitchen.

Dick then planted jasmines and clematis, popular trailing plants, next to the pergola’s posts, which he’s hoping one day will cover the pergola in years to come.
entre-temps, Angel was in her element as she added furniture – from an outdoor sofa to chairs, cushions and throws – to create a homely feel. She added candles and macrame lanterns on the table for extra ambience.
Angel said: “That’s what takes a little outside area and takes it to a different level because you’re taking a little bit of softness from the house and bringing it outside, and I think that’s what makes it feel special.”
