GAME of Thrones’ eagerly-awaited prequel, House of the Dragon, has released its final suspenseful trailer, days before the premiere.
HBO has released a new promo for the series called Fire Will Reign, just days before the premiere on Sunday night- and it’s fiery.
The 45-minute trailer is jam-packed with lots of action, dragons, combat, and of course, drama.
Paddy Consadine, 48, who plays the role of King Viserys Targaryen, declares: “The threat of war looms.”
The promo starts off with Viserys Targaryen, who is played by Paddy Considine, explaining: “The road ahead is uncertain but the end is clear. We are better defended,”
Viserys continues: “We are better defended… by whomever may dare to challenge us.”
There are a few glimpses of approaching fights, as the Targaryen tribe battle it out to see who should be the heir to Viserys’ throne.
The trailer leaves fans wondering who will be the heir to Viserys’ throne.
Will it be his brother, Prince Daemon Targaryen, or his daughter, Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen?
Olivia Cooke stars as Otto’s daughter Alicent, and Eve Best stars as Princess Rhaeys Targaryen, who was passed over for the throne, which is now taken over by her cousin, King Viserys, purely because she is a woman.
Also showing their faces are Rhaenys, a dragon rider, and her husband Lord Corlys Velaryon, who look to be plotting behind the scenes to win the iron throne.
The series was created by Game of Thrones author and creator George RR Martin, along with Colony creator Ryan J. Condal.
The fantasy series was shot in multiple locations throughout Europe, including Croatia, Spain, and Portugal, however most of the filming took place in England.
House Of The Dragon will debut on Sunday on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max. There will be 10 episodes in all. The finale will air on October 23.
