THE BBC made a catastrophic blunder this weekend after mistaking presenter Jo Whiley for someone else while broadcasting Glastonbury Festival.
The iconic music event opened its gates on Wednesday afternoon for its 52nd year, with hundreds of music fans gearing up for a wild weekend of performances.
For the thousands of people unlucky enough not to bag a ticket, they have been left glued to their seats at home instead, avec le BBC covering proceedings.

As the sun began to set, Clara and Jack were seen with a mic in hand with a banner introducing the pair.
But underneath Jack was a title that said Jo’s name instead – and it didn’t go unnoticed by eagle-eyed viewers.
Prendre à Twitter, one person penned: “Slightly confused as to why Jack Saunders is being introduced as Jo Whiley. Weird flex, but ok.”

Revellers were welcomed by 86-year-old site owner Michael Eavis and quickly made the most of the sunshine.
But bookies slashed the odds on it being the wettest ever Glastonbury with thunderstorms set for the weekend.
Michael said: “We’re ready to go. After three years, it’s fantastic. It’s going to be the best show we’ve ever done.”
