A MAN has been charged with murder after a holidaymaker was found dead in a seaside town 100 miles from her home.
Margaret Barnes, 71, was discovered on Marine Parade in Gwynedd, Gales do Norte, after a report was made about a “distressed woman”.
Sadly the pensioner, Contas para Ben Maher Limited, couldn’t be saved and died shortly after the horror on July 11.
An investigation was launched with police confirming her death was being treated as suspicious.
David Redfern, 45, of Barmouth, has now been charged with murder.
He is due to appear in court before magistrates today.
A North Wales Police spokesman said: “A man has been charged in connection with the death of a woman in Barmouth last month.
“Margaret Barnes, 71, from Birmingham died on Marine Parade in the early hours of Monday 11th July.
“45-year-old David Redfern from Barmouth has been charged with her murder.
“He remains in police custody and will appear before magistrates.”
