THE top 50 coldest neighbourhoods in Britain has been revealed as the country braces for one of the worst cost of living crisis amid a very chilly winter.
Entre o 1,000 chilliest areas, Birmingham, Blackpool, Bradford, Bristol, and County Durham have the highest concentrations of coldest neighbourhoods in England and Wales.
But it is in West Yorkshire where the top five coolest neighbourhoods are encompassed.
Oakworth Road and West Lane in Keighley ranks as number one, it is then followed by Kings Cross in Halifax, Keighley Central and East, Pellon East in Halifax and Girlington in west Bradford.
The coldest neighbourhoods are ranked by metrics that contribute to cost of living, which include consumption and fuel prices compared with data on incomes.
Environmental organisation Friends of the Earth compiled the top 50 list using these calculations and highlighted Britain’s energy crisis hotspots.
Within these hotspots, the coldest neighbourhoods are identifiable through the Performance Certificate (EPC) statistics, which show the average energy efficiency rating for homes from A to G. Below is how they ranked.
