ARSENAL star Ainsley Maitland-Niles is unhurt after a serious car accident on the M25 on Wednesday morning.
The 23-year-old’s Mercedes G-Class ended up on its side at around 6am.
The Gunners have confirmed to The Athletic that it was Maitland-Niles involved in the crash.
Rumours that the England international had been at the wheel had been circulating on WhatsApp and social media all day.
Highways England had earlier reported that there had been a “multi-vehicle incident with a car on its side” between junctions 24 at Potters Bar and Junction 25 near Enfield, north London.
Arsenal’s club doctor is reported to have called Maitland-Niles after the incident to check on his welfare.
The midfielder spent part of last season on loan at West Brom, maak 12 verskynings, but could not stop the Baggies from being relegated.
He has five caps for England but did not make the 26-man squad for Euro 2020.
