A BODY has been recovered from a Welsh River amid reports of aconcern for safety incidentand a rise in water-related tragedies during the heatwave.

An unidentified man was pulled from the river at Pontycysyllte in Llangollen, Noord-Wallis after cops rushed to the scene.

There is no word yet on who the unfortunate man is.

North Wales Police issued a statement, sê: “Officers attended a concern for safety incident at the river at Pontcysyllte on Saturday afternoon, alongside colleagues from NPAS, North Wales Fire & Rescue Service, North East Wales Search and Rescue and Welsh Ambulance Services Trust.

The statement confirmed that the body had been recovered and that the man’s family was being supported by specialist officers.

It added that enquiries were ongoing on behalf o the coroner.

This comes amid a rise in water-related incidents during the recent heatwave.

A number of reports of people getting into difficulty, and some sadly dying, in lakes and rivers around the UK have come out in recent weeks.

One such tragedy was the death of Jay Walker, 21, van Doncaster on the same day as the unidentified man in Wales passed away.

Jay’s body was recovered from a local lake on Saturday after he got into difficulty in the water.
