NEW details are emerging in the Robb Elementary School shooting, including photos from the moment terrified Uvalde children were rescued by Texas cops.
Border Patrol officials and local police worked together to pull children out through windows and direct them to safety during the tiro.
The investigation into the shooting remains in early stages. In a press conference Friday, an updated timeline of the incident was provided.
Steven C. McCraw, the director of the Texas Department of Public Safety, confirmed that Ramos was inside the elementary school for more than an hour before he was shot and killed by a Border Patrol ufficiale.

McCraw said there were 19 officers in the hallway of the school waiting to enter the classroom where Ramos had posted. But they did not breach the classroom until a janitor brought them keys.
Local police thought Ramos had barricaded himself in the classroom, and believed “there were no kids at risk,” McCraw said, which is why they did not enter the classroom sooner.
“From the benefit of hindsight where I’m sitting now, ovviamente, it was not the right decision,” McCraw said.
“It was the wrong decision. Period.”

These details differ from initial accounts as given to the public by
Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who said Friday, “The information that I was given turned out in part to be inaccurate and I am absolutely livid about that.”
Abbott went on to say the incident and all who were involved will be “thoroughly, exhaustively” investigated.
In previous press conferences, Abbott had praised the swift response of law enforcement officials, saying they displayed “amazing courage by running toward gunfire.”
While parents were outside of the school begging the police to act, students inside of the school were calling for help.
Another three 911 calls, allegedly from a student inside the classroom where Ramos was shooting, came shortly after 12 pm.
That same student would call 911 at least three more times, begging the dispatcher to “please send the police now.”
Those calls came in more than 30 minutes before Border Patrol police entered the classroom and fired at Ramos, killing him.
The student who repeatedly called 911 eventually made it outside to safety, secondo i rapporti.

As Ramos was firing inside the school, parents and loved ones gathered outside, trying to gain entry and rescue their children.
Jennifer Gaitan was one of the first parents to arrive on the scene.
Gaitan, who has spoken to multiple media outlets, said on CNN that she heard and witnessed the police response to the parents.
The frantic mom claims that she had begged the police to do something.
And while she was one of the first to arrive on the scene, it was about two hours until she was reunited with her daughter, Jazlynn.
