The 47-year-old joined the BBC in 2008 and has made a lot of friends there during that time.

Maar Naga was left sad to see colleague Secunder Kermani go, after he revealed he was leaving his role as Pakistan & Afghanistan correspondent for a new job at Channel 4.

Hy het getwiet: “Pleased to say I’ll be joining @Channel4News as a foreign affairs correspondent later this year based out of London… Am looking forward to working with a great team on stories right across the world.

While Naga was quick to congratulate him on the new job, she admitted she was sad to see him leave the BBC.

Sy het getwiet: “Congratulations! A huge loss for us, and C4’s immense gain x”.

It isn’t the first time recently that Naga has shown support for a colleague.

Terug in April, Laura Conder announced she was joining the BBC but was suffering from a touch of imposter syndrome.

Laura wrote: “I’ve got news time, Next month I will be joining the @BBCNews as a Journalism Researcher in News Intake.

Still suffering from massive imposter syndrome about it but so incredibly happy about going into a dream role so early in my career.

Kind-hearted Naga also supported co-star Lara Lewington, wife of Martin Lewis, after she revealed she had sliced her face open in an electric scooter accident.

After Lara shared a picture of her injuries, Naga tweeted: “That looks so sore! Feel better. Heal soon. Sending love xx.
