The Home Office confirmed yesterday that they rescued or intercepted 87 people making the perilous journey in three boats on Sunday – bringing the total to 1,057.

Home office minister Tom Pursglove 说: “People fleeing persecution should seek safety in the first safe country they reach and not risk their lives paying criminal gangs to cross the Channel.”
