Royal insiders say introducing his new partner to the Queen is a major step and sign the couple are seriousalthough wedding bells may be some way off.

Une source a déclaré au Sun: “The Queen is one of the most important people in Peter’s life so it’s only right that he introduces Lindsay to her. It was a very warm meeting and the Queen was clearly delighted to meet someone who makes Peter so happy.

“Despite the fact that he divorced Autumn, they have two children together and relations are still incredibly warm between them. They are both moving on with their lives and accept that the other will find someone else romantically.

“It may still be early days but Peter wanted his grandmother to see he was happy. It is a clear sign that Lindsay has now been fimly welcomed into The Firm and a major first step if they were to ever choose to get married. The Queen just wants Peter to be happy.”

Peter and Autumn announced last February that they had split up the previous year. They amicably settled their divorce in June last year after 12 years together and have two children, Savannah, 11, and nine-year-old Isla.

Last March, The Sun revealed how cops gave “advice” to the businessman after he drove 460 miles from his Gatcombe Park home in Gloucestershire. He went to Lindsay’s £475,000 home on the Scottish east coast at the peak of the government’s covid restrictions.

He is often described as the Queen’s “favourite grandson” by royal insiders.

Lindsay was also photographed in November being driven into Windsor to attend a double christening for Mike and Zara Tindall’s son Lucas, and Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s lad August.

Peter later held a shooting party at Windsor Great Park where Lindsay was formally introduced to Her Maj. The Queen remains on “light duties” at Windsor Castle after last year’s hospital scare. A spokesman for Peter Phillips said: “Peter attended a private event at Windsor.”
