TEMPLEGATE is back with some strong fancies on a huge Saturday of action at Cheltenham and Doncaster.

He has yet to taste defeat since going over hurdles and stepped into Listed company to score here last time.

It was an impressive effort as he scooted up the hill to finish with plenty in the tank. He stays this trip well and has a lot more to offer for in-form Henry Daly.

He is no stranger to success at Cheltenham and can take another nice prize from the front.

He pulled off those tactics when winning the Grade 3 Racing Post Gold Cup here last month and he’ll like this decent ground better than his last run which came in tacky conditions. He’s got a fair weight and shouldn’t be too pestered on the front end.

He has a good chance to get off the mark after acquitting himself well in a Grade 2 at Kempton’s Christmas meeting.

That was just his third run over fences and came after hitting the post on debut at Ascot and Newbury. He doesn’t have to improve much to score with the longer trip holding no fears.
