SHERIDAN Smith has revealed she would break down in tears “every night” while filming the upcoming drama Four Lives.
In a tale of true events, the four victims of Stephen Port were identified as Anthony Walgate, Gabriel Kovari, Daniel Whitworth and Jack Taylor.
It is a story that also portrays the courage, struggles, fears and hope of their families and friends who worked tirelessly to find out what happened to them.
At the forefront of telling the tragic story is actor Sheridan – and she says filming the drama was one of the hardest jobs she’s ever had.
The 40-year-old revealed: “Every night I was going home in bits, بكاء – you can’t help but take it home.
“I have so much respect for her and what she must have gone through.
“I really beat myself up with it because I want to do a good job for them.”
While getting into character for the series, Sheridan said she built up a “connection” with the families of the victims and spoke of her admiration for them.
هي اضافت: “I think it brings something different out in me when I play a real person. I love to get a connection with them.
“I mean it from my heart that I want to do my best for them, it’s not like I meet them to go ‘oh, what are your mannerisms’ and then just dump them.
“I’m invested in them, I know their lives and I’ve got so much admiration for them. They’re special jobs.”
Port, who will be played by Stephen Merchant in the drama, تم سجنه في 2016 for drugging and murdering men, before callously dumping their bodies in a graveyard.

Although his crimes are known as the Grindr Murders, they are also called the Barking Murders after the town where they occurred.
