SPYMASTERS are looking for school-age snoopers to nab organised criminals and terrorists — and they need only two GCSEs.
Bosses at GCHQ want first-rate problem-solvers to join them straight from school and as soon as they turn 18.
They are eager to attract a new generation of spooks so applicants for the £31,000-a-year roles are required to have just basic maths and English qualifications.
GCHQ, headed by Sir Jeremy Fleming, says in its ad that the baby-faced recruits will help keep Britain safe from organised gangs, terrorists and cyber crooks.
它说: “We’re looking for people who enjoy making sense of complex information and solving puzzles.
“You’ll need resilience and perseverance.”
But a grade C in GCSE English and maths is the only academic requirement.
The ad goes on: “You can apply at the age of 17 年, if successful you will not be offered a start date prior to your 18th birthday.”
