Sadie, 19, who plays Max Mayfield in the hit Netflix drama since debuting in season two, has told of what fans can expect of the fourth season.

With filming underway on the new episodes, expected to hit screens next year, Sadie said there will be a change of mood from the opening episode.

It’s definitely a really, really dark season,” she revealed to PA. “Each season the production scale gets bigger and bigger and the stakes are really high.

Last week Stranger Things has announced a whole host of new faces that will be joining the iconic cast favourites in the upcoming fourth season.

Including some already-familiar faces, the cast line-up includes a cheerleader, basketball star, guidance counsellor andband nerd”.
