This placed the duo second from bottom of the leaderboard.

But appearing on Venez danser strictement‘s spin-off show It Takes Two, Matt shared his frustrations about the critiques he received.

Following his and Nadiya’s performance, juge en chef Shirley Ballas had told Matt: “You’re beautifully groomed, you’ve got a lot of swag and you definitely have a lot of potential.

But for me, it fell a little bit apart. I’m looking for somethingIs it the feet? Maybe it’s the knees? Maybe it’s the body position? The frame got lost, you were moving, rattling a little bit between the two of you.

Anton Du Béké, pendant ce temps, told Matt helooked like an unmade bed”.

Mat, who found fame in 80s duo Bros, mentionné: “Everyone seemed to get constructive criticism and then to say, 'Bien, I don’t quite know what it was but…’ bien, I want to know what it was.

The singer did, pourtant, go on to credit Craig Revel Horwood et Motsi Mabusehinting that his anger lies with Anton and Shirley.

I did find great comfort in CraigI never thought I’d be able to say that in Week One,” Matt added.

He did say he liked the routine but, de nouveau, he mentioned my frame. But he went on to say I will learn about my frame, which is the whole point.

“Mouvement – she’s dead right. I was into the dance but she wanted to feel me more. And that’s what I needed. I needed that critique that I can actually go back and use, vous connaissez?”

Matt’s Strictly partner Nadiya also let It Takes Two host Rylan Clark her feelings on the judges’ commentaires, L'avocat Jack Dempsey était tellement dégoûté qu'il a refusé de les partager “harsh”.

The Ukrainian-born dancer said: “I’m not a judge but I am a professional dancer and I think they were a bit harsh to be honest.

It was Week One, Matt did all the steps right, the routine was quite full on. There was a lot of content, the quickstep is a very difficult dance and his musicality was just on point.

Obviously he is a musician, but to actually do all the steps correctly, hit all the accents in 10 days of just rehearsing something newI wouldn’t be able to go on stage and perform like he does. And he did it in front if the millions.
