Who is Anthony Morley?
Anthony Morley was the first ever Mr Gay UK after being crowned winner of the annual beauty contest for gay men in 1993.
He was convicted of killing and butchering his boyfriend, and then cooking and eating him.
He was 36 years old at the time of his conviction.

During the court case, the judge said that it was one of the most gruesome murders he had ever encountered.
Morley stabbed the victim multiple times when they were in bed together before cutting up and cooking his flesh in herbs and olive oil.
After the murder, Morley stumbled into a nearby kebab shop at 2:30am in his dressing gown covered in blood and asked someone to ring the police.
Morley claimed at the time that he was acting out of self defence after someone had tried to rape him.

Who was Anthony Morley’s victim?
Morley murdered his boyfriend, Damian Oldfield, who was 33 years old at the time.
Oldfield worked for the publishers of a gay magazine called Bent.
The victim’s mother said at the time of the verdict: “Damian loved life and he has had that taken away from him in the cruellest of circumstances.
“He was so easy going and friendly that to know Damian for five minutes was to know Damian as a friend.
“Damian will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved him.”
Morley had invited the magazine executive to his house in Leeds for a meal.
The pair watched Brokeback Mountain in bed together before Morley violently murdered his victim.
Where is Anthony Morley now?
Morley was born in 1972 making him 50 years old in 2022.
He was sentenced at Leeds Crown Court in October 2008 to at least 30 years in prison.
