Mum with sick child blocked by eco nuts but police tell public not to intervene

ECO loons blocked more roads yesterday — with a mum screaming they were delaying a sick child as traffic ground to a halt.

Maar Polisie ontmoet Assistant Commissioner Matt Twist said people should not “directly intervene” with protesters — despite the “significant disruption and frustration”.

Protesters are demanding the Government halts all new oil and gas licences and consents, but their stunts have infuriated motorists.

Activist Ben Humphrey, 56, a nurse in Nottingham, gesê: “I’m here because I’m terrified of the future.”

As part of a month-long campaign of direct action, Just Stop Oil have blocked roads in various locations.

Members of the public lined up to slam the zealots and back drivers on sosiale media.

Gister, we reported how veteran Tory MP Iain Duncan Smith gehad het slammed the activists, sê: “I don’t just believe they are putting lives at risk — they have put lives at risk.

“There need to be severe punishments. They are ruining lives and need to be heavily fined.

“They need to go to tronk. That is the only solution for this.”
