After several weeks of migraines and a shocking fainting spell in a bathroom, Lola Pearce learned she would have to undergo surgery to remove a tumour in her brain.

Traurig, the procedure was unsuccessful, as doctors announced shortly after.

Lola was left with her days numbered, unbeknownst to her young daughter Lexi and to the shock of her nearest and dearest.

Coming up on BBC One, Callum Highway (dargestellt von Tony Clay) encourages Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) to tell Lexi the truth about Lola’s prognosis.

Stattdessen, Ben throws himself into research for any treatment options.

Später, at the hospital, everyone rallies round Lola and Callum suggests Ben moves back in with him to help support Lexi.

Lola is touched by his support and gets ready to go home.

But while her health is on the line, she asserts to her boyfriend Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) that she refuses to be coddled upon her return to Walford.

She immediately suggests that they go out for lunch.

Recent scenes of the London-based drama have shown Lola being taken to the operating block, with Jay waiting to hear news on her condition.

Lola was notably asked to give her tumour a namewhich amused many viewers of the program.

The mechanic is set to take care of his other half as she gets ready to breathe her last, while her loved ones slowly come to terms with her diagnosis.

EASTENDERS-NACHRICHTEN

Alles, was Sie über Eastenders wissen müssen

Fans were shocked to find out that Danielle Harold would be bowing out of the soap after more than a decade.

For her final storyline, EastEnders bosses have worked closely with Brain Tumour Research and Macmillan Cancer Support for it to be portrayed asrealistically and as sensitively as possible.

The date of Lola’s final scenes has yet to be confirmed but Danielle Harold is said to still be on the Elstree Centre set.

The soap usually shoots episodes six to eight weeks in advance and fellow soap stars such as Danny Dyer have been filming their own Christmas storylines.

This could mean Lola won’t be waving goodbye until after the New Year.

EastEnders airs from Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm.
