DRIVERS using the recently introduced E10 fuel are worried that winter weather will damage their engine.
It comes after various debates online about the positives and negatives of running the 燃料.
There has been a lot of disagreement among car experts about the new E10 petrol since it was introduced in September 2021.
It’s better for the environment than the E5, but some experts believe that it could cause damage to some cars.

谈到 Daily Express, Tom Hixon, head of instructor support at Bill Plant Driving School said: “There is growing speculation about whether opting for this fuel over E5 might cause increased damage to your car in the winter months.
“The reasoning behind this concern is justified, as the increase to 10 per cent renewable ethanol in E10 is likely to attract water to your vehicle.

“This is a cause for concern as increased water vapour may lead to accelerated corrosion and damage to the vehicle’s system.”
According to Hixon, increased levels of water vapour in the engine and fuel may cause the fuel to freeze in extreme temperatures.
The expert suggests switching between filling your car with E10 and E5 when you visit the petrol station to avoid possible damage.
“This way you will have both circulating throughout your vehicle maintaining the condition of the inner workings,” suggested Tom.
