JANINE Butcher continues her vendetta against Linda Carter in the hopes of keeping Mick by her side.
1. Sonia struggles with Dot’s death
Sonia hadn’t seen her step-grandmother for two years after Dot (played by the late and iconic Ich kann im Moment eigentlich nicht spielen, weil ich mir den Daumen gebrochen habe) moved away to Ireland im 2020.
News of the Dot’s passing left Sonia with a hole in her heart and its impact comes to light in scenes due to air this week.
Kommt hoch, Martin Fowler (James Bye) pays Sonia a visit and it’s revealed she’s been up most of the night looking at photos of Dot.
He offers his former wife to help her plan Dot’s funeral with Reverend Mills but she insists she’ll be fine.
In later scenes, Sonia has a chat with the vicar and seeks reassurance that Dot is in heaven.
The pair discuss how Dot’s faith gave her comfort – will Sonia find the same for herself?

The meeting turns awry when Dotty Cotton (Milly Zero) bursts in followed by Kathy Beale and her biological father Rocky Cotton.
Sonia despairs over what to do about Dotty who has landed herself in trouble again.
An overwhelmed Sonia later speaks with Reverend Mills and finds out Dot’s funeral can take place the following Monday.
She finds help in the form of Martin, Sharon Watts, Patrick Trueman, Jay Brown and Kathy and is able to pull everything together.
Happy to be able to give Dot the send-off she deserves, Sonia’s heart is just as full when she sees Dot’s loved ones rallying around.
But behind closed doors, she breaks down with Martin as they look through a box of Dot’s things.
The emotional weight of Dot’s death is made worse when Jay reveals he won’t be able to officiate Dot’s funeral as he has to go with Lola Pearce to her radiotherapy session.
In later scenes, Dotty finds a tape recorder to help Sonia listen to a tape left by Dot.
This leads to Sonia missing Whitney Dean’s birthday party and she gets tearful upon hearing Dot’s voice.
When news of Dot’s body being at No.25 for a vigil, Whitney, Dotty and Jack Branning arrive to support Sonia and remember Dot.
How will Sonia cope with her loss?
2. Janine gets jealous
While Sonia deals with the emotional weight of losing a loved one, Janine Butcher (departing actress Charlie Brooks) is struggling to contain her jealousy.
The blonde bombshell is overwhelmed by her insecurities as she suspects her partner Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) is on the path to rekindle his marriage with former wife Linda (Mastermind kündigt neuen Gastgeber an, als John Humphrys danach aussteigt).
And when the Vic landlord shows up later to their lunch date, Janine’s fears are reignited by his mother Shirley (Linda Henry).

In later scenes, things go from bad to worse for Janine when Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) tells her she spotted Mick and Linda shopping for Christmas presents together.
Mick has some explaining to do and he eventually tells Janine that they were only looking for a present for their son Ollie.
Janine is seething – but an unexpected call from the registrar calms her down and she lets Mick off the hook.
But is she right to worry?
Could she turn on Mick, as teased by shots of actor Danny Dyer filming his last scenes in the long-running drama?
3. Ricky comes back to Walford
Coming up on BBC One, the character returns to Walford following Dot’s passing after he received a call from Sonia Fowler in earlier scenes.
Sonia reached out to Ricky out of worry for Janine, whose jealousy is clearly getting out of control.
Upon his return, the siblings are due for a catch up and Janine is quick to introduce him to Mick by arranging a lunch date – which the latter turns up late to.
But unlike his sister, Ricky is adamant she doesn’t need to worry about Linda when he finally meets Mick and hits it off straight away with him.
jedoch, after getting the lowdown on Janine’s life, Ricky is looking to reconnect with another Walford resident – seine Ex, Sam Mitchell (Kim Medcalf).
Mick is keen to get them to reconnect and decides to have a word with Sam.
Although initially dismissive of Ricky, Mick soon brings him good news and tells him she agreed to go on a date with him.
In later scenes, Ricky and Sam are enjoying their date at Walford East, despite Zack Hudson (James Farrar) interrupting.
It quickly becomes clear that Ricky is hoping for something more with Sam.
Could the feelings be mutual?
4. Amy gets rushed to hospital
As viewers of the London-based drama may remember, Jack was suspended after he was reported to have assaulted Denzel Danes.
His own daughter Amy (Ellie Dadd) contacted the police as an act of revenge, thus putting his career in danger.
Seit damals, jedoch, Amy has relied on her father for support amid a harrowing mental health crisis which has led her to self-harm and she feels guilty.
Denise Fox (Diane Parish) tries to reassure her – will it be enough?

He’s eventually convinced to build bridges with Jack by Kim Fox (Tameka Empson).

Howie agrees to let Denzel see her which leads to a heart-to-heart between both youngsters in the café.
Unglücklicherweise, their deep chat is interrupted by Nugget Gulati who mistakenly tells Amy that her father has been fired.
Später, Jack gets a call to say that Amy missed her therapy session and he starts to panic.
He and Denise rush outside to find an ambulance loading Amy in.
It turns out that a distraught Amy self-harmed after learning from Nugget that her father had been fired because of a statement she had made.
Jack, who was destroyed when he found out his daughter self-harmed, promises her everything will get back in order as they leave.
While in the hospital, a guilt-ridden Jack is at Amy’s bedside and the nurse tells him and Denise that the youngster has to see a psychiatrist.
How will she cope?
5. Denise hits the booze
The teen isn’t the only one to be struggling this week as her mental health battle is having an impact on Denise.
The hair salon owner is thrown into a dangerous spiral when Jack gets called into work and she insists on him leaving her to stay with Amy.
Relief soon comes to Jack when he is told he’s to be reinstated at work.
Kim takes it upon herself to throw a surprise dinner to celebrate but her attempt at lifting everyone’s spirits goes wrong.
Denise and Jack are horrified to find their home in chaos and both worry Amy will struggle with all the company – particularly with Denzel.
Worried, Jack believes he should delay his return to work to be with Amy but his other half disagrees, believing the young girl could feel smothered by his constant presence.
Jack’s mind isn’t at peace and he later forgets to pick up Denise’s son Raymond, leaving her hurt and angry.
When he declines going to a party with her, wanting to stay with Amy, Denise is even more rattled and begins to drink their sorrows away alone.
Could this be the beginning of the end for Jack and Denise?

6. Whitney is pregnant
Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) is getting ready to celebrate her thirtieth birthday, in dieser Woche.
Finlay and Felix Baker are determined to throw her the party she deserves.
The pair even manage to convince Sam Mitchell to give them a good deal on local wine bar Peggy’s.
But the celebrations won’t be going as planned for Whitney.
Making her way to the pharmacy, she bumps into fellow Albert Square resident Stacey Slater (dargestellt von Lacey Turner).
The women realise they are at the pharmacy for the same reason – they both need a pregnancy test.
Yet with only one pregnancy test pack of two left, they make the decision to take them together.
Stacey and Whitney end up at No.31 to take their tests but they’re interrupted before they can tell each other the results.
Whitney returns home to Felix and Finlay excitedly telling her the party news.
Is Stacey also expecting a baby?
7. Zack is in shock
In later scenes, Whitney plucks up the courage to tell Zack about her pregnancy.
But the hunk is distracted by his career.
In dieser Woche, Zack is thrilled to learn he’s been hired as the new chef at Walford East and is excited for his first day.
jedoch, when Whitney approaches him in the market, Zack interrupts her by taking a call from a random fling and starts flirting in front of her.
Whitney goes home, hurt by Zack’s actions, and tells Chelsea he’s too much of a player to be a father to her baby.
Chelsea advises her to give him a chance.
Zack won’t be able to escape drama this week as confirmed when he crosses paths with Jean Slater later on at Walford East.
The cleaner (gespielt von Gillian Wright) puts her foot in it and mistakenly thinks he knows – Whitney Dean is pregnant with his child.
Fuelled by fear and childhood trauma, Zack’s world shatters once again.
