The committee began at 9:30am this morning.

It is possible that the committee will last up to six hours meaning it could overlap with the Prime Minister’s Questions at midday.

What is Dominic Cummings expected to say?

Cummings is set to sensationally lift the lid on how the Prime Minister acted too slow to lock down the country in the early days of the coronavirus pandemic.

The former top adviser dropped a string of allegations on Twitter over the weekendsome of which might be mentioned in today’s committee.

This includes the claim that the Government had initially planned to use the herd immunity approach to the pandemic before it was rapidly ripped up and the country was forced into lockdown.
