ESCAPE to the Chateau’s Dick Strawbridge issued his wife Angel Adoree a warning over a hidden ‘death trap’ found in their home in France.
During a repeated episode of the チャネル 4 公演, the Escape to the Chateau stars came across a hidden “death trap” in their garden.
Dick and Angel have often found strange things around their old-fashioned home, but they’ve also found some alarming features over the years.
As the family got ready for an event at their chateau, they noticed an unstable brick near the house.
The couple decided to approach it, to work out if it was a hazard or not.
“I’ve never seen that,” Angel said as she looked closely at the brick.
Dick added: “番号, me neither.”
The pair looked very concerned as they examined the brick.

The mother of two explained: “I think the reason I’ve never come here is because I am often with the children.”
She asked Dick: “What is it? Is it a well?, Is it a swimming pool or a big jacuzzi?”
Wealthy families, such as the chateau’s previous owners, would have kept kept their ice in a subterranean ice house, which is what Dick guessed it would be.
But the house had no roof, which instantly made it dangerous.
Angel asked Dick if she could fill it up with ice to see what would happen, as she felt it could be useful.
But Dick seemed very concerned and replied: “番号, water would go straight over the edge, it’s not a swimming pool.
“You better lose that thought because it is not a swimming pool and water would just go everywhere.”
After taking a closer look, The Escape to the Chateau star, told his wife the pit was a “death trap”
“What it is, is a bit of a death trap so we have to think about how we will deal with that,” Dick told Angel.
Dick was concerned the historic ice house could be a serious hazard to guests at the chateau if they went near it.
