A MAN whose rotting body was found underneath a couch may have been the victim of a homicide, 警察によると.
The unidentified man’s 体が見つかりました around 1am on Wednesday in Queens after reports of a foul odor coming from an apartment.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and the medical examiner’s office determined that his cause of death was homicide from multiple stab wounds to his neck and back.
Due to the condition of the corpse, police believe the man had been dead for several weeks.
“The body was so badly decomposed, they don’t know who it is,” a police source told the ニューヨークポスト.
The NYPD told The Sun on Friday: “There are no arrests in regard and the investigation remains ongoing at this time.”

Just a few days before the man’s body was found, the remains of an unidentified woman were reportedly discovered in an abandoned car near Mets’ Citi Field.
NYPD officers with the 110th Precinct found the woman’s body inside a white Honda on Monday night, による QNS.
Cops found the unidentified woman in the backseat of a car, which was missing license plates, at around 10.20pm in Willets Point, クイーンズ.
Police sources told the ニューヨークポスト the woman was found unconscious and unresponsive in the vehicle.
The car was parked at 127th Street and 35th Avenue.
Officers said the car’s location was within walking distance of the popular baseball stadium in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park.
