BRENDAN Cole’s wife Zoe called him “my winner” after he finished runner-up to Regan Gascoigne in the Dancing On Ice final.
The Kiwi dancer, 45, was consistently strong throughout the competition and was narrowly pipped to the trophy in a mesmerising final.
Having watched her man and pro skater Vanessa Bauer perform an iconic Bolero, Zoe wrote on Instagram: “Tired but so, tan feliz. My incredible, talented hubby @brendancoleinsta is an absolute winner in my eyes.
“Brendan and Vanessa’s performances were pure perfection last night and I could not be any prouder. Thank you my darling for the joy and pride you’ve given me and the children over the last few months. We couldn’t have asked for more.
“A huge thanks also due to @vanessabauer_skates for being the perfect partner to my crazy husband. You’re an absolute star. An experience to cherish forever.”
Brendan shared the sweet words, along with a loved-up snap of them sitting together and added: “Thanks darling.”

Many of Brendan’s fans insisted he should have won.
Jo Wood commented: “Brendan you were brilliant last night .. I was convinced you had won .. I really enjoyed watching you get really good .. well done your the winner in my eyes !❤️🥰❤️.”
Regan opened the final with a perfect score of 40 for his performance to Step In Time by Mary Poppins Original London Cast.
