PETE Wicks has opened up about his and Chloe Sims friendship after they were spotted looking close again at the National Television Awards.

The 32-year-old and Chloe, 39, were seen leaving the bash arm in arm earlier this month, sparking speculation they might be giving things another go.

The pair shocked fans in October when their secret two-year romance was revealed, coming to a head in an explosive bust-up on the show’s Christmas special.

tuttavia, Pietro has insisted that the pair are just “amici” and said that their romantic relationship is “nel passato” as they begin filming Towie together again.

Parlando in esclusiva a The Sun, Egli ha detto: “We are good as gold. We have been doing some filming together. I love filming with Chloe and Diags because we all have such a good laugh.

“Things are all good. We have known each other so long and we have been through so much so it is nice that we are back to having fun and being pals.

“There is no awkwardness. Chloe is amazing. She is one of the closest people to me other than Lockie.

“So it is great when me and her can spend time together and have fun,” he added.”

Reflecting on their past, Pete added: “You have to take every day as it comes. We had a break from each other which was needed.

“What happened was in the past. We are both over the situation. The foundation of me and Chloe is that we were such good friends.

“We are friends. I am not going to speculate about this, that and the other because speculation gets you in trouble,” Lui continuò.

“We are friends and I am really happy that we are friends.”

ROMANTIC PAST

Chloe – who is Towie’s longest standing cast member now – is currently filming back alongside Pete.

Their romance came to a head last year in upsetting scenes and fans will no doubt be rooting for Chloe to get her happy ever after.

Pete had ended things as he told Chloe at the time: “I can’t be in a relationship, I can’t give you what you want and I can’t give you what you deserve and I know that.”

Chloe walked off during filming, and months later Pete told The Sun that they still hadn’t spoken – and she and half the Towie cast had unfollowed him on social media.

The mum-of-one had been left furious after Pete let slip that he’d been sleeping with his onscreen BFF on-and-off since 2018 during a couple’s therapy session.
