MOST brides save up for their wedding dress for ages.
So the thought of chopping half of it off seems ridiculous.
But that’s exactly what Taylor Popik did with her lacey Tony Ward gown, which see picked out from Kleinfeld Bridal in New York City.
Ella dijo Persona enterada: “It was one of those destiny things, I tried on three dresses, but I knew the Tony Ward was the one and we said ‘yes’ on my first fitting.”
The stunning floor length dress featured a deep plunging neckline and floral applique.
The bride revealed that it set her back £4,000, but she loved it for her big day back in August 2021.

“I was debating preserving it, Taylor admitted in a TikTok she posted, “but I have a feeling my daughter, if I have one, will not want to wear my 35 year old wedding dress.
“So I decided to repurpose it and chop it short so I can rewear it on out honeymoon in Italy.”
She told Insider that it was her mum that encouraged her to get the gown altered, ella dijo: “My mom has had special event gowns cut down in the past to rewear,”
Ella añadió: “It’s the best-fitting dress I’ve ever owned, so why not wear it again?”

Taylor decided to take the risk and get it altered by a local seamstress.
The dress was altered to just above the knee for a more wearable look, “I love the way it came out, I’m so happy with it,” ella reveló.
She explained that she’s also planning to do something with all the left over fabric, although she isn’t sure what yet.
In addition to wearing her new mini dress on her honeymoon, Taylor said she “will probably wear it on our anniversaries, también.”
