Rules are in place about what you can bring with you in your hand luggage when boarding a plane.

These restrictions apply to various items including ecigs and cigarettes and food.

However, the rules on electric toothbrushes aren’t clear, and restrictions can differ between carriers.

So if you’re wondering whether you’ll be allowed to bring your toothbrush in your hand luggage, your best bet is to contact your airline directly and ask.

There are also limits on the amount of liquid you’re able to have in your hand luggage.

It’s therefore advised that you pack liquids in your hold baggage if possible.

  • Liquid or semi-liquid foods like soup and syrups
  • Sprays, including shaving foam, hairspray and spray deodorants
