A BODY language expert has revealed the surprising reason why Love Island star Danica’s desperation has pushed her to make bad decisions.

The 21-year-old shocked the Islanders by recoupling with Jay, 28, after he told her he wasn’t interested.

It came after she “stole” Luca off Gemma on her first night in the villa.

She has also shared a kiss with Davide and told Andrew she fancies him.

Now Darren Stanton has spoken out about Danica suffering from the “law of reversal” – and her real feelings about being rejected by Andrew.

Speaking to The Sun on behalf of Betfair Casino, Darren said: “There is a theory in psychology known as the law of reversal – the more you want something or try to get something, you won’t.

“This causes frustration, again only making it more likely that you won’t get what you want.

“It can play into insecurities and Danica not having yet found anyone that gels with her has knocked her confidence, prompting her to make bad decisions.

“Danica so far seems to be having a tough time in the villa when it comes to finding a match.

“While she is undoubtedly self-assured and has a strong confidence that comes naturally to her, she can be quite closed off and hard to read.

“Analysing her body language when she’s interacting with some of the guys in the villa during one-on-one chats, Danica’s body position is quite still, the tone of her voice is fairly slow and she doesn’t show her emotion.

“例如, when she was chatting with Andrew and he told her he wants to focus on things with Tasha, at face value Danica was calm and took his comments in her stride.

“然而, when in the beach hut away from her fellow islanders, we saw her voice speed up and her pitch heighten, she was also seen flashing micro-expressions of anger and embarrassment, such behaviour gave us an insight into her true emotion and suggests she was deeply hurt by Andrew’s rejection.

“During the recoupling when Danica chose Jay, there was clear shock and disbelief on the faces of a number of other islanders. Antigoni tried to put on a brave face, but it was clear to see she was hurt by Danica’s choice and she couldn’t hide her upset.

“As Jay walked over to Danica there was absolutely zero connection, unlike the other couples who were showing a lot of affection towards one another as they recoupled.

“Danica isn’t showing signs of a connection with Jay and may have picked him out of desperation.”
