BBC Breakfast’s Jon Kay left Carol Kirkwood giggling with a cheeky comment about her fiance after her engagement announcement.
Carol, 59, revealed her mystery fiance had proposed during their recent holiday on Mondays edition of Breakfast.
Vandag, Carol was once again back presenting the weather and during one link, she shared a joke with Jon, 52.
Vroeër, Jon had interviewed Transport Secretary Grant Shapps on the day the Elizabeth Line finally launched in London and the presenters had celebrated the 50th anniversary of Spaghetti Junction near Birmingham.
Jon and Sally Nugent joked to viewers that train and car fans had been well catered for so far and Sally said “Now let’s make all the Carol Kirkwood fans happy shall we?”
Carol replied: “There’s only one” and Jon joked knowingly: “We know who he is.”

His cheeky comment left Carol giggling before she carried on with her forecast.
Vroeër, Jon had shared how thrilled he was about Carol’s news, which had been revealed while she broadcast from the Chelsea Flower Show.
Sally said as they reflected on the event: “It sort of makes me think, ‘I wish I’d been there yesterday to see all those beautiful flowers and amazing people’.
Jon added: “I wish I’d been there yesterday just to give Carol a hug, om eerlik te wees!”

He then linked to Carol and asked her how her day had been and she replied: “My day was… lovely. Dankie, Jon, it was really nice.
“And it was so special being at the Chelsea Flower Show as well.”
The name of Carol’s fiance is unknown, but she confirmed they were dating last year.
She was previously married to former field hockey player Jimmy Kirkwood for 18 years until their divorce in 2008.
