WOKE Sainsbury’s is pandering to the politically correct brigade by knocking out 80p ‘gingerbread people’.
The traditional gingerbread man has been replaced with a gender neutral alternative – albeit one wearing a dickie bow.
And even a box of two treats have been called the non-binary gingerbread people.
That’s despite the £1.50 treat adopting male and female gender roles by being decorated in male swimming shorts and a pink female cossie.
One shopper said on a Facebook page dedicated to shopping: “On come on!!!”

Shelba said: “Can’t eat the gingerbread people if they don’t have an assigned gender.”
