KATE Garraway’s Covid-haunted husband nearly died in hospital from sepsis, Il Sole può rivelare.
Devoted Kate disse Derek Draper was left “fighting for his life again” in intensive care.
He recently developed sepsis after his kidneys stopped working properly.
Kate, 55, who plans to return to ITV’s Buongiorno Gran Bretagna oggi, posted online: “Derek’s Salute took an unexpected & frightening turn for the worse.
“Thanks to the extraordinary NHS squadre & his own amazing life force & spirit Derek — please God — is back on the right side of it now.”
A pal confirmed Derek, 54, who fell ill three weeks ago, was out of intensive care and “battling on”.

Derek, who spent longer in hospital with Covid — 13 months — than any other Brit, has children Darcey, 16, e Billy, 13, with Kate.
