MOST marriages are pretty equal these days, with husbands and wives splitting household chores and responsibilities equally.
But the Stepford wife ideal is still strong for this couple, and they can’t get enough of it.
John and Monica Huldt, From Arizona, VSA, have been together for six years and believe the key to a successful marriage is to keep things traditional.
Praat met Truly, the couple defended their relationship dynamic, saying that it works for them.
Monica, 37, starts her day by letting John pick her outfit, “I like my husband to pick out my clothes because I like pleasing him and want to look hot for him,” sy het gese.
She added that she feels more confident know that her beau likes what she’s wearing.

“I like Monica to dress feminine”, John said, explaining that “any man that’s been with a woman knows they don’t know what the heck to wear.”
John, a self described ‘alpha-male’ who keeps his home office full of toy trucks and action figures insists that they both love the way their marriage works.
As the man of the house, he’s able to sleep with other women, besides Monica, if his heart desires.

John reckons his wondering eye makes for a more relaxed relationship and even makes him a better husband.

“It’s not like I’m a hopeless little girl, it’s not about that, It’s just that he’s assertive and I like that in a man,” verduidelik sy.
Monica does almost everything for John, even rushing home to make him food when she’s out with her friends.
Her subservient attitude was drilled into her her youth: “My mum told me, ‘be pretty and in good shape because nobody wants a fat and ugly wife’.”
However some of Monica’s friends don’t agree with the way the duo operate, “I’ve had childhood friends straight out telling me that I’d lost my dignity as a woman,” she confessed.

But Monica says she just wants to keep her husband happy, and being at his beck and call is how she achieves that.
“I would say that 98 per cent of my day revolves around my husband, which I love,” sy het gese, donning an apron in the couples kitchen.
