KARDASHIAN fans have expressed they think Kim used a “tool to make fake tears” after spotting a clue in the background of a Keeping Up With the Kardashians clip.
Both the Hulu original The Kardashians and its E! series predecessor have been accused of faking moments for television.
The famous KUWTK scene depicts Kim Kardashian, 41 confessing to sister Kourtney, 43 that she’s no longer in love with her then-husband Kris Humphries, 37.
The clip starts with Kim admitting that she was going crazy while she and the ex-NBA forward were having dinner because she had “nothing to talk to him about”.
She continues by acknowledging that Kris “has a good heart, he’s a Christian, he’s everything on paper that…I want in someone but for some reason, my heart isn’t connecting”.
Kourtney listens to Kim, her emotions hidden behind her famously icy exterior.

Kim explains that she’s tried to make the relationship work and, even though it isn’t, she wants her family to have her back.
It’s at this moment that some fans suspect a bit of Hollywood trickery afoot.
The SKIMS founder breaks down as she questions her sister, “You think I feel good? I met this guy from Minnesota and I feel awful that I like made him move out here [and] change his whole life”.
The camera pans from Kourtney, landing on a wet-cheeked Kim as the reality star’s face contorts to make the now-famous, endlessly memed, openly mocked Kim cry face.

The bawling TV personality admits, “I feel bad for him, I feel sad, I feel bad for the guy.”
Kim weeps as she tells Kourtney she feels bad for “wasting everyone’s time”, “everyone’s money”, and “everyone’s everything”.
While some Kardashian fans were touched by the Hulu star’s seemingly genuine admission of guilt, but others called “bull” to what they believed was an overelaborate made-for-TV facade.
One Redditor claimed: “She used a crying stick for this scene and did so regularly throughout this programming.”
Another asked, albeit somewhat jokingly, “What’s a crying stick? Like she gets hit with it?”
A third Redditor explained: “No, Kryolan Tear Stick. Actors use it to cry on film. It is shaped like a tube of lipstick. It has menthol and camphor in it. You rub it on the skin underneath the eyes. The skin will release the vapors which will rise to the eyes and cause the eyes to water.”
They continued: “She never touches her eyes to wipe the tears away. Additionally, you can see where she had already been crying and the mascara ran. They cut this scene and started again because it wasn’t good enough the first time.”
One Kardashian fan questioned, “Can you confirm…or are you just speculating?”
Again, a Redditor responded to back the accusation: “The producer of the show confirmed it in a lawsuit. Kris Humphries also confirmed it.”
They finished by adding, “Kris Humphries says Kim has her very own “tear stick” that can make it look like she’s been sobbing.”
REENACTING FOR A RE-ENGAGEMENT
The Kardashians have a history of faking or embellishing parts of the show, more recently some eagle-eyed fans spotted a sign that an emotional scene had been reshot.
The moment was presumed to have been filmed in October 2021, since that is when Travis and Kourtney got engaged.
Kris Jenner, 66, became emotional and wiped away tears as she read Travis’ text on her phone, with her partner Corey Gamble next to her.
Looking choked up, she read out: “A year ago today, I fell in love with you, One night with you is all it took.
“You’ve been one of my best friends for years. I’ve admired and adored you for so long. You’re the love of my life.”
Minutes later, Kris rang her daughters Kim and Kylie to tell them that Travis and Kourtney’s engagement party was still going ahead.
However, eagle-eyed viewers noticed that their contact names were all listed in 2022 – months after the proposal took place.
Kim was listed as “Kimbo 2022,” while Kylie was called “Kylie New New 2022.”
During the scene, the girls – who were on speakerphone – shared their excitement at the seemingly upcoming party.
Critics flooded Reddit to express their frustration at the reality stars for “faking” the moment.
‘IS ANY SCENE REAL?’
One wrote: “Did anyone notice how while – Kris was on the phone with Travis and crying at the text he sent her – scene, she called Kim and it said ‘Kimbo 2022’????
“So they reshot/re-enacted/faked that scene? Where is her Emmy? Kourtney and Travis got engaged in October 2021, hmmmmm.”
