SOAP legend Hayley Tamaddon has landed her first TV role in seven years – and she’s joined by two familiar faces.
Hayley, 45, will star in Channel 5’s upcoming primetime drama, The Good Ship Murder, which is currently filming.
Leading the cast are Catherine Tyldesley, aka feisty Eva Price in the ITV soap, and Shayne Ward, who portrayed troubled Aidan Connor.
Hayley has been sharing snaps of herself with the cast , which also include Claire Sweeney and Emily Atack’s comic mum Kate Robbins.
Hayley wrote on twitter: “Been filming something amazing this past week! With the most amazing cast and crew! Feeling very grateful at the moment.”
The drama sees Shayne playing an ex detective who decides to change careers and become a cruise singer.
But he soon finds himself having to solve a series on murders on board with the help of a fellow officer played by Catherine.
Catherine said when her role was announced: “Being reunited with Shayne on a Mediterranean cruise has been so much fun and this series has been a joy to make and I’m sure will be a joy to watch – who doesn’t love a cruise?”
It is unknown what role Hayley will play in the eight-part drama but in recent years she has done a lot of stage work rather than television.
