A FOURTH terror suspect was arrested this morning in Liverpool after casually strolling down the street to a house being guarded by cops.

The man in his 20s was detained in Sutcliffe Streetwhere three other men were arrested yesterdayin connection with the explosion outside Liverpool Women’s Hospital on Remembrance Sunday.

Police said today the terrorist who ordered a taxi to a hospital was carrying a homemade bomb before it suddenly exploded killing him and injuring the cabbie.

Cops confirmed today the blast is being treated as a terror incident.

Residents who returned to their homes this morning after being evacuated last night told how they watched in horror as officers pounced on another man.

Builder Ryan, 38, gesê: “We were evacuated last night by armed police so when we came back this morning we were just stood at the corner of the street looking at what was going on.

“This fella just walked past us and I noticed him because he had cauliflower ears like a boxer.

“He walked towards the house and as soon as the police saw him they grabbed him and put him against the wall. They stuck him in the back of a police car.”

The arrest took place at around 9.15am.

Two hours later the suspect was transferred into a police van and driven off.

Three men aged 21, 26 en 29 who were arrested in the same street yesterday were still being questioned today.

Neighbours told how one of the men was arrested after being ordered out of the back of his house by an armed cop.

Sharon Cullen, 49, said she watched as the suspect came out into the back yard of a home on Sutcliffe Street before going back into the property.

Sy het gese: “He came out and then he went back into the house.

“Oor 15 minutes later he walked out again with his hands on his head. It was really scary.

“I have seen one of them before sat in his bedroom on his computer because they don’t close the curtains.”

Cabbie Dave Perry was hailed a hero after locking the suspected bomber in his taxi.

Dave was injured in the blast at 10.59am, seconds before a two-minute silence for Remembrance Sunday.

He was stable in hospital last night with burns and shrapnel injuries, including damage to his ear.

Dave’s quick-thinking actions meant the male passenger carrying the bomb was the only person killed.

Horrifying footage has emerged of the moment his taxi blew up outside the hospital yesterday.

The blast took place near ­Liverpool Cathedral which was hosting one of the country’s largest Remembrance Sunday services with more than 2,000 mense.

It was reported the suspected terrorist asked Dave to drive him to the cathedral where 1,200 people had gathered for services to remember Britain’s war dead, but changed his mind and asked to be driven to the hospital less than a mile away.

“He’s a fellow driver on delta. He’s had his ear sewn back on, got burns and shrapnel wounds and other pretty serious injuries. He is a hero. When he noticed the bomb, he locked the scumbag in the car. But took the brunt of the blast.”

Stephen Thomas added: “The driver is my mate, and spotted the passenger acting suspiciously, so he jumped out the car.”

Assistant Chief Constable Russ Jackson said they “cannot at this time draw any connection” with Remembrance Sunday events nearby but confirmed it is a line of inquiry.

The officer added: “Opmerklik, the taxi driver, escaped from the cab. He has been treated for the injuries he sustained and has now been released from hospital.

Emergency services quickly attended the scene and Merseyside Fire and Rescue put out the fire following which it quickly became apparent that the passenger remained in the vehicle and was deceased.

It is not clear what the motivation for this incident is.

Our enquiries indicate that an improvised explosive device has been manufactured and our assumption so far is that this was built by the passenger in the taxi.

The reason why he then took it to the Women’s Hospital is unknown, as is the reason for its sudden explosion.
