A COUPLE who turned their £4.6million National Lottery bonanza into a £30million property empire are splitting up.
Barry and Jenny Chuwen 赢了 1997 and then boosted their fortune before the 2008 credit crunch hit them hard.
The couple also set up a charity for special needs kids.
Regulators are probing its finances.
Ex-hairdresser Barry, 52, said the investigation and business pressures had caused them stress.
He also said he had “developed a relationship” through work and had apologised to his wife, 54.
A friend said: “Everyone thinks a lottery win guarantees happiness but, as many winners now know, it’s not always plain sailing.”
