A RUNNER paused with a mile left to go in the London Marathon — to propose to his girlfriend.
Will Thornton, 36, got down on one knee in front of 32-year-old Tilly Burns, wie was in the crowd with their families.
The school caretaker from Ash Vale, Surrey, gesê: “There’s something I’ve got to do here first.”

Crying with happiness, deputy nursery manager Tilly accepted.
Will quipped after finishing Sunday’s race in five hours, 55 minute: “I didn’t think I’d be able to get back up again.”
Tilly said: “He said he always wanted to do it at a time I didn’t expect it.”
